500G TABLE CLUB / CITY GUIDE

Naples is a table

TABLE CLUB — NAPLES

In Naples, food is not just what arrives on the plate. It is the noise of the dining room, the wait in front of the oven, a pizza folded to be eaten while walking, the way a table immediately becomes a conversation.

For TABLE CLUB, we have chosen four places that tell different languages of the same city. No ranking: we care about character, not the podium.

01 — Starita a Materdei

Via Materdei 27/28

Pizza is a collective ritual, but there is no single way to tell it. Starita, in the Materdei neighborhood, is one of the places where the tradition of Neapolitan pizzeria intertwines with the history of the neighborhood. A stop to observe the continuous movement between the oven, the tables, and the street.

02 — La Masardona

Via Giulio Cesare Capaccio 27

Fried pizza reminds us that food can belong to the street even before the restaurant. At La Masardona, the gesture matters: a direct product, to be eaten hot, that carries with it a long popular culture.

03 — Mimì alla Ferrovia

Via Alfonso d’Aragona 19–21

A reference of Neapolitan cuisine since 1943. Here, history passes through family recipes, a dining room full of memories, and the ability to make traditional dishes dialogue with new interpretations. The proximity to the station is almost a manifesto: Naples welcomes even those who are just passing through.

04 — Trattoria da Nennella

Piazza Carità 22

A trattoria where the relationship between the dining room and the public is part of the experience. The lively service, the popular cuisine, and the informal tone tell a noisy and participatory dimension of the city. It is not an address for those seeking silence: it is a place to be read also through the people.

The TABLE CLUB criterion

We have chosen places with a recognizable voice, where the cuisine is inseparable from the context. Practical information can change: before visiting, check addresses, hours, and reservations on official channels.
